Painting Demonstration . I will do a painting demonstration at my Red Oak Studio Gallery on Sunday, 3 to 5 pm. This event is free, but I ask that you register so I limit the guests and can adequately plan refreshments. It will be fun, informative and entertaining. Wine and light snacks will be served at 4pm during a short intermission in painting. Please RSVP and register here.

I am looking forward to visiting and painting Richmond, VA. It is my first time to visit the area and I am thrilled to be taking part in this annual event hosted by Brazier Gallery and the Richmond SPCA.

Plein Air Southwest 2018 Received Award of Merit
A 6-day paint out competition followed by a 3-week show & sale of plein air work produced during the official paint out period of May 21 - 25, 2018. The host venue for 2018 is Rockport Center for the Arts in Rockport, Texas. This area on the Texas Gulf Coast is rich with subject matter that appeals to all plein air painters and collectors!

Workshop at San Miguel de Allende
I'll be teaching a week-long workshop at the UNESCO World Heritage site of San Miguel de Allende in the heart of Mexico. This colonial jewel is located at 6,200 feet and the weather during August is mild, 50 in the early mornings to 80 in the afternoon. It was voted by readers of Travel and Leisure as the World's best city in 2017 — beating out major travel destinations like Florence and Capetown. Conde'Nast includes it in the top twenty every year. The accolades continue to pour in year after year for this romantic and historically beautiful city. It is a painter's delight with charming streets, stunning architecture, and vibrant color.
I have traveled to San Miguel numerous times during the past thirty years to paint. This workshop will not only increase your knowledge and skill as a painter, it will broaden your love and understanding of our beautiful world. Join me for this special event!

AIS Small Works Show - Randy Higbee Gallery, Costa Mesa California - 165 small works presented by members of the American Impressionist. The event and show will also include works done in a quick paint on the coast.
I was lucky to win the Isabey Wet Wall Award for the painting I completed on location at the beach at Crystal Cove paintout sponsored by the AIS. It's always wonderful to take part in plein air events with other artists from around the country. Thank you American Impressionist Society and Randy Higbee Gallery for a great show.

Cape Ann Plein Air - I am fortunate to be one of forty artists invited to participate in this year's event. Painting begins October 10th. The quick-draw is October 12th and is open to professional and amateur artists. These are fun events for the public to enjoy as well. Tequesta, Florida, the Lighthouse ArtCenter proudly presents its
3rd Annual Plein Air Festival. This juried invitational event is a

Third Coast Gallery- Galveston, Tx. I will have twenty-one paintings featured at the Gallery. The reception/show opening will be April 18. Nineteen plein air paintings will be exhibited along with two larger studio works painted from two of the plein air works. This show gives me the opportunity to present to collectors a retrospective of plein air works, information about my painting process and presents my lifelong love of the Gulf Coast region where I was raised.
