This piece will be auctioned on Saturday night, November 4, 2006.  The minimum reserve price is $3,500 and bidding will begin at that price.

This is a studio painting of a spot along 11 mile creek in Colorado.  The river still runs wild and free and is a favorite among fly fishermen.  It represents for me all that is beautiful about our great American west.

In the area I live in southeast Tx, pansies and petunias are the harbingers of Spring.  I painted this plein air piece on my studio patio.  I liked the shadow patterns created by the flowers and the feeling of the warm sun as it danced across them.		I come to this beautiful valley nearly every fall to paint the gorgeous jewel tones as summer turns to autumn.  The old country farmhouses are being replaced and with them a lifestyle that will remain only in our hearts.  And so I think of the refrain from Denver’s song… ”...take me home, country road, to the place I belong....”
